1 - 2 years

A toddler is classified as a child between the ages of 1 and 2 years. Toddlers are very active learners and use their senses and movement to learn about the environment. We will provide experiences to aid in their development of language skills, fine and gross motor skills, socialization skills, cognitive growth, and self-help skills.

Parents need to provide disposable diapers and wipes until their toddler is fully potty-trained. Several changes of clothes and underwear needs to be placed in a clear, zip-locked bag and kept in the child’s cubby. Parents should notify their child’s preschool teacherpreschool teacher when potty training begins in the home; a conference will be scheduled between the center and the parents so expectations on both sides are discussed and the best course of action can be taken. Children will not be placed in the K-3 room until they are completely potty trained.
